Don't think you have to spend a lot of money to get great sound these speakers are AWSOME they are super clear and for the price you can't go wrong I mean you can spend more money but why these speakers sound like 400.00 dollar speakers recomend for anybody not just for us on a budget.

This system is excellent!!! At first it is a little hard to setup and understand. By reading some reviews and tips you get it going and the final result is REALLY great!!! This system is powerful enough to drive your neighbor crazy! The sub is awesome and the quality of the sound is amazing. I am a professional musician and audio quality to me is very important. You can't go wrong with this system. I purchased other cables to install the way I wanted but it was worth it!!!

Yamaha Speakers May 24, 2010
This is a nice little speaker set for the price. I was updating my surround sound system and purchased these to go along with an Onkyo receiver. I'm very happy with the results. They produce crisp, clean sound and are aesthetically pleasing to the eye. I enjoy playing video games, and realistic, immersive sound is a big part of the experience. I feel like I achieved that with the help of these speakers. I haven't compared them to any high-end speakers, but I can't imagine gettng significantly better results even if I spent 3-4 times as much. Bottom line, I'd definitely recommend this product.

great speakers!!, i set it up in condo and its plenty loud for that application if your want to setup a dedicated hometheater room i would suggest spending more.
I think is great for any condo/appartment due to is very small size and good sound quality, i have also set up a hometheater using klipsch and jbl studio series speaker which cost over $3000 for spekers alone, and i can tell you that this is the best setup for the money

 Very Good Mid Range Speaker System Apr 20, 2010
After spending weeks looking for a good middle of the road quality speaker system I finally found this gem and I am pleased with the results. This was the last piece to my home theater setup and for the price, the quality just can't be beat. I bought this to be used with my Onkyo RC160 receiver and the two go together nicely.
Once of the things I am pleased about is the great quality of sound for the small size of these things. They are literally about the size of pc speakers but deliver such clear sound. The L/R Channel in both the front and rear are the same size and deliver great highs and good medium range sound and the Sub takes care of the lows.
The only reason I didn't give this 5 stars is the center channel. The center channel itself delivers great quality sound but the volume isn't quite there. I had to turn up the dB's on the center channel via my receiver to balance it out so it worked out in the end. Othewise I would find myself reaching for the remote during dialogue rich scenes to turn it up.
I have seen a few reviews with people who aren't happy with the subwoofer but my experience has been pleasant. The lows come through clean and have a great tone. It sounds great during action movies with lots of explosions as well as listening to your favorite cd or radio station. The sub itself has its own on/off switch that I just leave on as well as its own power adjustment. I keep mine set at about 45% because anything higher and everything in the house starts shaking.
The bottom line here: For the price this just can't be beat. Yes there are other setups that will deliver a better experience for some but will cost you much more money. At this price point you will not find a better setup for your home theater and unless you are a complete audiophile you will be completely satisfied.

Consumer Reports Says Buy Your HDTV at Amazon!
Washington, D.C. (October 31, 2008) -- When it comes to price, Consumer Reports says shoppers are most likely to find the best deals online. And the publication called three ecommerce sites "standouts" in this year's Consumer Reports ratings of electronics stores: Amazon.com, Crutchfield.com and B&H (bhphotovideo.com)
The magazine's survey was based on more than 38,000 purchases of electronics, including flat-screen TVs, between January 2007 and June 2008. The report indicated that online stores consistently offered better prices. (The magazine's full report can be found in its December 2008 issue.)
"Buying online can be better," the magazine said in a press release. "The higher-rated electronics retailers in Consumer Reports annual reader survey are Web sites. Readers who bought online rated their overall satisfaction at 90 out of 100 -- higher than those who bought in a store. Additionally, many Web merchants offer free shipping, even on TVs, which could spare the hassle of struggling to fit a bulky carton in the car or paying a local store for delivery."
Consumer Reports said that while no single retailer scored excellent in all shopping categories, Amazon.com and Crutchfield.com came closest.
