The new LC32D64U AQUOS raises the bar by fitting a large screen size into a incredibly small footprint. By changing the layout of circuits inside the LCD panel and by cutting the number of parts, Sharp's engineers were able to reduce the depth by 30%, allowing placement of the LC32D64U model in virtually any type setting. The LC32D64U utilizes Sharp’s proprietary Advanced Super View/Black TFT Panel with multi-pixel technology, providing 10,000:1 Dynamic Contrast Ratio with Enhanced Picture Contrast Technology and 6ms response time. The LC32D64U is a HDTV with built-in ATSC / QAM / NTSC tuners and include 2 HDMI inputs, compatible with 1080p signals, a PC input and 2 HD component video inputs. Side terminals are included for convenience as well as RS-232C input for control. The LC32D64U features a sleek piano black cabinet with subtle, recessed bottom-mounted speakers. Features: 1) Full HD 1080p (1920 x 1080) Resolution for the sharpest picture possible. 2) 10,000:1 Dynamic Contrast Ratio and 6ms response time produce spectacular picture quality. 3) Two HDMI Inputs and dual component for the ultimate in terminal flexibility. All inputs are compatible with 1080p sources. 4) Wide Viewing Angles (176°H x 176°W) Sharp's AQUOS viewing angles are so wide, you can view the TV clearly from practically anywhere in the room. 5) Enhanced Black Level provides the deepest, most accurate black of any flat panel TV. 6) High Brightness (450 cd/m2) AQUOS LCD Televisions are very bright. You can put them virtually anywhere – even near windows, doors or other light sources – and the picture is still vivid. 7) Built-in ATSC / QAM / NTSC Tuners provide access to DTV and analog TV channels. 8) AQUOS engine with ASV technology provides high performance video processing for the brightest, most vivid colors and images. | | | |

Fantastic TV Jun 27, 2009 I replaced my old 720p 42" Samsung DLP for the improved clarity and quality of this fine machine. It's clear, reliable, and makes my Xbox 360 and Blu Rays look incredible. My only complaint is that I wish I had money for a slightly larger model (but really this one is perfect for my needs). Some people have complained about clarity of cable (duh, if you don't have HD cable, it will look kind of soft. No HD TV will make standard cable look any better. I got used to it until I can afford HD cable). Others have complained about motion blur (as with any TV, you need to muck with the settings. I turned off the OPC, black level expansion, and DNR as they weren't doing much in the positive sense. I found that having them off vastly IMPROVED the picture and completely eliminated any blurring or color bleeding). Finally the sound. It's not bad, but I have a sound system (just an old AIWA stereo with nice speakers) so I don't even use the TV speakers. If you are considering an HDTV, I highly recommend Sharp Aquos (not plain Sharp), Sony Bravia, and the new Samsung lines. Go LCD or LED and spring for full 1080p or you will regret it later. Trust me, you'll just end up buying a 1080p set later if you buy 720p now.
good picture Jun 21, 2009 the product has a good picture, it blurs a little on fast movement but otherwise i am very happy with it. great bedroom tv
Nice HDTV Jun 02, 2009 Nice HDTV. Good picture . Over all good value.
I only wish for it price should have more options.
My Samsung HDTV is somewhat more advance.
Solid LCD TV May 26, 2009 I would recommend this TV to others, but I'm sure by now they have replaced it with a newer model.

Generally great TV Mar 27, 2009 I really wanted to buy a Sony, but the 1080P version was too expensive and when I saw this Sharp 1080P at a super low price, I bit the bullet and bought it.
Pros:
* Great picture for HD and DVD content.
* The sound is great. I don't know what people are talking about.
* Generally nice looking TV.
Cons:
* SD content looks bad, but I don't think it's an issue with this TV. If you enlarge a low resolution picture, then it's going to look bad on any HD TV. If you're buying an HD TV, plan on upgrading your TV to HD.
* I don't like the piano black finish. I know it's really popular right now, but it attracts dust, scratches look terrible and I just think it looks generally cheesy. I'd much prefer a matt black.
* I had a few minor issues with the Tivo remote. It seems like the OPC function that automatically dims the TV in low light sometimes interferes with the Tivo remote. Most of the time it works, but it's an occasional frustration.
* The remote is too big and poorly laid out. I mush prefer the simple Sony remotes. Fortunately, I can just use my Tivo remote most of the time.

Consumer Reports Says Buy Your HDTV at Amazon!
Washington, D.C. (October 31, 2008) -- When it comes to price, Consumer Reports says shoppers are most likely to find the best deals online. And the publication called three ecommerce sites "standouts" in this year's Consumer Reports ratings of electronics stores: Amazon.com, Crutchfield.com and B&H (bhphotovideo.com)
The magazine's survey was based on more than 38,000 purchases of electronics, including flat-screen TVs, between January 2007 and June 2008. The report indicated that online stores consistently offered better prices. (The magazine's full report can be found in its December 2008 issue.)
"Buying online can be better," the magazine said in a press release. "The higher-rated electronics retailers in Consumer Reports annual reader survey are Web sites. Readers who bought online rated their overall satisfaction at 90 out of 100 -- higher than those who bought in a store. Additionally, many Web merchants offer free shipping, even on TVs, which could spare the hassle of struggling to fit a bulky carton in the car or paying a local store for delivery."
Consumer Reports said that while no single retailer scored excellent in all shopping categories, Amazon.com and Crutchfield.com came closest.
