great tv Jun 30, 2009
I read everything I could find on hdtv's.....this one had great reviews. I bought it...so far it lives up to all the reviews. I have had it sine 1st part of June 2009.....love it! Great crystal clear picture....I don't know how you could ask for any better.
Amazon delivered it before the date promised...brought it in & set it up. Free S&H..... The whole experience has been great. If you want a great hdtv....this is it!

 Great Picture Lousy Sound Jun 28, 2009
I have recently purchased this Samsung 52" LCD TV, and the picture quality is amazing, sharp, crisp, and clear. No complaints about the visuals, but the sound quality is awful! The speakers on these Samsung TVs are at the bottom of the set and actually face downwards rather than outwards, so the sound coming out is as if someone is speaking into a cellar: muffled, blurred, low, and hard to hear. I solved the problem adequately by purchasing a pair of cheap Bose computer speakers ($100) which plug into the headphone jack on the TV and they sound fairly good, but you cannot use the mute button with them, and it galls me to have spent $1500 for a television and then have to buy speakers just so I can hear it.

Please if anyone is leery of the delivery, as I was Don't let this stop you as First the TV is fantastic, and the delivery company ( CEVA ) called and was delivered 3 days early and with the most care. The delivery driver set my TV up and walked me through all of it's functions.
Also he said he would remove the box and packing material, but told me it would be best to keep it for a week or so just in case something went wrong which it didn't. What a picture. I am very happy with this purchase.

This is the first HDTV I have purchased and boy was I missing out - the picture is so sharp especially watching sports you really think you are at the event
Its easy to work and very low maintenance you cant do any better for the price than this

Very pleased with the product. Great color and clarity. Slight image drag on fast motion events but not significant. Overall it seems to be a great product.

Washington, D.C. (October 31, 2008) -- When it comes to price, Consumer Reports says shoppers are most likely to find the best deals online. And the publication called three ecommerce sites "standouts" in this year's Consumer Reports ratings of electronics stores: Amazon.com, Crutchfield.com and B&H (bhphotovideo.com)
The magazine's survey was based on more than 38,000 purchases of electronics, including flat-screen TVs, between January 2007 and June 2008. The report indicated that online stores consistently offered better prices. (The magazine's full report can be found in its December 2008 issue.)
"Buying online can be better," the magazine said in a press release. "The higher-rated electronics retailers in Consumer Reports annual reader survey are Web sites. Readers who bought online rated their overall satisfaction at 90 out of 100 -- higher than those who bought in a store. Additionally, many Web merchants offer free shipping, even on TVs, which could spare the hassle of struggling to fit a bulky carton in the car or paying a local store for delivery."
Consumer Reports said that while no single retailer scored excellent in all shopping categories, Amazon.com and Crutchfield.com came closest.
