At This Price.... Oct 19, 2008 Its great, i bought this LCD tv in stores for $850 with a 2 year warranty. This is the second LCD tv i have purchased in the last 3 weeks. The first was a Samsung LN40A530 40-Inch 1080p LCD HDTV which i was not happy with because of the ghosting. I paid $1300 in stores for the tv and a 2 year warranty. So that makes a price difference of $450. Trust me when i say i made the right decision to return the 1080p tv for this lower model 720p tv. I found for experience that if you have a 60hz tv which both tv were and if its 40inch's or smaller it really does not matter if you have 720p or 1080p. I dont care what they tell you in the stores because i had both and we watched the same blu ray dvds and xbox 360 games on both to know the picture looks the same on both. This is a great entry level tv. The only problem is ghosting, but i only notice it when my eye is looking for it. the color is great, the picture is great what more could i ask for. It was a cheap lcd tv that could compete with the high priced models. this is a great tv for a bedroom or small room. If its going in a big room get something bigger and 1080p for sure, but on this size and 60hz i would recommend this tv.
Best deal...Fo real! Oct 15, 2008 Yes...I did my due diligence... I scanned the web, hit the stores and this was the true 'Best Buy' out there. I needed a TV that was better than the one that did not work and I was not looking for the latest and greatest to "one up" my friends.
What I was looking for was a good working TV that would last longer than it would take for me to pay it off...Which pans down to mean low cost and a strong reputation for manufacturing solid TV's...and this one hit the target dead-on. I got the best price on Amazon.com from the warehouse. Go ahead and search for yourself. You'll be right back.

HD stands for "Huge Difference" Sep 05, 2008 We were woefully unprepared for how crappy normal TV would look. That's a compliment to this excellent TV (and HD in general) but it meant we had to scrap our digital cable and get DirecTV. We also didn't have the right cables to hook up all our stuff. But all that's our fault. We just got the thing because my 10-year-old 32" block was kind of an embarrassment. This was one of the better prices for a name brand HDTV, though it was more than we needed to spend. I think it was worth it, though, because we have no complaints about the color, picture quality, or features. It was easy to figure out once it was hooked-up. And the design is clean and not as gaudy as some others. I'd highly recommend it if you're ready to make the jump to HD. Just be ready for the surprise, and to shell out some more dough for new cable and new cables.

Sweet Buy Jul 21, 2008 This TV has a beautiful picture. I bought a Samsung because the vividness of color was unmatched in the sets I looked at. My only regret is that I mounted it above my fireplace and wish it was a 46" or 50". A TV a bit larger would have been nicer there. At this point though for $899 I couldn't go wrong. This will probably end up in the gameroom as I replace my tubes one by one. Nice buy!

Everything you can ask for Jul 08, 2008 This TV is amazing and is a good deal for the price.
Eventhough its advertised as 720p it can go upto 1080i.
Picture Quality and Sound quality are excellent.
TV looks really cool.
It has all the ports you can ask for.
Shipping took about 6 days but for free shipping i think that was fast enough.

Consumer Reports Says Buy Your HDTV at Amazon!
Washington, D.C. (October 31, 2008) -- When it comes to price, Consumer Reports says shoppers are most likely to find the best deals online. And the publication called three ecommerce sites "standouts" in this year's Consumer Reports ratings of electronics stores: Amazon.com, Crutchfield.com and B&H (bhphotovideo.com)
The magazine's survey was based on more than 38,000 purchases of electronics, including flat-screen TVs, between January 2007 and June 2008. The report indicated that online stores consistently offered better prices. (The magazine's full report can be found in its December 2008 issue.)
"Buying online can be better," the magazine said in a press release. "The higher-rated electronics retailers in Consumer Reports annual reader survey are Web sites. Readers who bought online rated their overall satisfaction at 90 out of 100 -- higher than those who bought in a store. Additionally, many Web merchants offer free shipping, even on TVs, which could spare the hassle of struggling to fit a bulky carton in the car or paying a local store for delivery."
Consumer Reports said that while no single retailer scored excellent in all shopping categories, Amazon.com and Crutchfield.com came closest.
