Nice picture, no analog audio out jack Oct 23, 2008 Great deal at $1300, lots of picture adjustments, but useless for my home theater as it only has one digital audio coax output, which my newer audio reciever doesn't have. Philips just trying to cut corners- parent company LG's equivalent 47" LCD has audio outputs of digital coax, fiber optic, and L,R RCA which most home entertainment centers still have. Unfortunately there's no compatibility with any type of box for converting the audio signal from digital to analog.

Beautiful picture!!! Jun 24, 2008 This TV is great. The picture is beautiful. I shopped around in stores and on the internet. Get this TV, you won't be sorry. The HDTV channels are stunning. And, the Standard Definition channels are good. It seems that technology has surpassed technology with HDTV. I was talking to a TV salesman the other day and he stated that three years ago he had five HDTV channels on his TV, today direct TV has over 90. I believe by the end of the year their will be more. The tecnnical specifications on Amazon list this TV as having 8ms response time when in fact it is 5ms. The blacks are really black and the brightness is great. Buy this TV!!!

Consumer Reports Says Buy Your HDTV at Amazon!
Washington, D.C. (October 31, 2008) -- When it comes to price, Consumer Reports says shoppers are most likely to find the best deals online. And the publication called three ecommerce sites "standouts" in this year's Consumer Reports ratings of electronics stores: Amazon.com, Crutchfield.com and B&H (bhphotovideo.com)
The magazine's survey was based on more than 38,000 purchases of electronics, including flat-screen TVs, between January 2007 and June 2008. The report indicated that online stores consistently offered better prices. (The magazine's full report can be found in its December 2008 issue.)
"Buying online can be better," the magazine said in a press release. "The higher-rated electronics retailers in Consumer Reports annual reader survey are Web sites. Readers who bought online rated their overall satisfaction at 90 out of 100 -- higher than those who bought in a store. Additionally, many Web merchants offer free shipping, even on TVs, which could spare the hassle of struggling to fit a bulky carton in the car or paying a local store for delivery."
Consumer Reports said that while no single retailer scored excellent in all shopping categories, Amazon.com and Crutchfield.com came closest.
