Very Cheaply made, only get if you are desperate. Jun 03, 2010 I ordered this mount because alot of reviews were talking about the quality and fit. Well once I opened the box I immediately noticed how cheap this mount looks, and is. Went ahead and mounted it, pretty straight forward. Once mounted the bracket is underwhelming on the wall, I wouldn't put anything over 40" on this mount for fear of falling. Now the problems start...........
1. Bottom latch will not fit into groove properly. No matter what I tried I couldn't get both of the notches to line up properly. Finally gave up and just had it hanging from the top ones.
2. Now my TV is out, 42" samsung Plasma. It has a crack across the screen. I'm not sure if it is from the stress of the Mount or from the hideous shipping by UPS of the TV.
I have a very nice mount for my main room TV, can't remember the brand, but it has perfect fit and placement and I can do pullups from the mount without a worry, I weigh 265lbs. This peerless mount I am scared just hanging my TV from it. Guess you get what you pay for as my other mount was $129.
Great Mount! Great Service! Apr 03, 2010 This wall mount is the exact product you would expect from a company called Peerless. Its very sturdy, very easy to put up, and the tilt function works very well. I went with this mount because I liked how you can adjust the tilt without needing any tools. There are little plastic handles on each side which are used to tighten or loosen the tilt joints. If you can't turn them 360 degrees because they hit the back of your TV, you just pull them out to disengage, turn them back like a ratchet, then you push em in, tighten, and repeat. I also like how you can keep them partly tightened and this allows you adjust the tilt of the TV by just applying a little pressure on the screen frame. I installed it myself which is easy as long as your comfortable with your ability to center and level the mount. Also, customer service is amazing. I called twice with questions about the hardware to use and how to mount it on my TV and immediately was connected to a real person. She couldn't answer one of my questions so she connected me to one of their engineers! Really fantastic service for any company let alone one that just makes TV mounts.
A little hint...as soon as you hang the TV on the wall plate, make sure you screw in the locking screws before attempting to make any adjustments to the tilt. I was so excited, I loosened the tilt joints and the tv dropped down to its lowest tilt position. With the TV in the lowest position, you cannot get to the locking screws and if you try to tilt it back up, the bottom hooks will swing off the wall since its the screws that secure it on the bottom of the frame. It was a small mistake that was very annoying to resolve since the tilt is calibrated to move under the weight of the TV, not me with a screwdriver trying to pry the thing back to the center position! Go slow, and it should all work out.
Great value Apr 02, 2010 I mounted this on an irregular stone wall without issue. The frame is strong and resists bending. I dont see how the angle can be adjusted once its on the wall but it is easy to preset.
Well built heavy-duty wall mount Mar 10, 2010 Bought this mount for an older 37" LCD, that was getting moved to the bedroom. Its much heavier than the current LCD's out there its size, so my main concern was having a mount sturdy enough for the weight. Once mounted to the wall-studs I'm pretty certain this mount would hold 200lbs or better if it had to. Very sturdy construction, solid steel all around. Came with an excellent assortment of adapters, I am certain there isn't a TV out there that this bracket would no fit. The only problem is the hook mechanism when you actually set the TV in, the top part is a perfect snug fit, the bottom however just wouldn't line up quite flush. There are set screws include to snug it up, but I would have like it to fit as tight at the bottom as it did at the top. Only issue keeping me from giving 5-stars.
a great buy Feb 18, 2010 for what i paid for this (about $80) i am completely happy with this purchase. it was easy to install once i found a good location on the wall to screw in the bracket. it is very solid so i don't ever worry about it coming off or breaking in anyway. now my tv looks great on the wall and all i have to work on is hiding wires. all in due time.

Consumer Reports Says Buy Your HDTV at Amazon!
Washington, D.C. (October 31, 2008) -- When it comes to price, Consumer Reports says shoppers are most likely to find the best deals online. And the publication called three ecommerce sites "standouts" in this year's Consumer Reports ratings of electronics stores: Amazon.com, Crutchfield.com and B&H (bhphotovideo.com)
The magazine's survey was based on more than 38,000 purchases of electronics, including flat-screen TVs, between January 2007 and June 2008. The report indicated that online stores consistently offered better prices. (The magazine's full report can be found in its December 2008 issue.)
"Buying online can be better," the magazine said in a press release. "The higher-rated electronics retailers in Consumer Reports annual reader survey are Web sites. Readers who bought online rated their overall satisfaction at 90 out of 100 -- higher than those who bought in a store. Additionally, many Web merchants offer free shipping, even on TVs, which could spare the hassle of struggling to fit a bulky carton in the car or paying a local store for delivery."
Consumer Reports said that while no single retailer scored excellent in all shopping categories, Amazon.com and Crutchfield.com came closest.
