Good Speakers BEWARE OF BAD PACKAGING Nov 04, 2008
After reading the reviews along with Amazons price I just got these. Very good sound for bookshelf speakers. They are heavy speakers and my only complaint is Amazons packing was the most worthless I have ever seen. Outer box was destroyed causing the inner Klipsch box some serious damage. The styrofoam packed around the speaker boxes saved them as there seems to be no damage. I will NOT order any other stereo equipment or fragile items from amazon EVER AGAIN due to such poor packaging. Amazon your packaging really sucks!

Klipsch beats all others! Oct 17, 2008
I have been using a pair of Bose 6.1 bookshelf speakers for 25 years. they have never disappointed. We recently remodeled and the Bose speakers no longer fit on the entertainment unit - they were too big. I ordered BIC speakers. They had good midrange but too little bass. Then I purchased Bose 301's from a local retailer. They had too much base and not enough midrange.
Finally, Klipsch arrived from Amazon.com via FedEx. They are fabulous! The sound cannot be beat for their size - crisp vocals, strong base, and well balanced. Also, the price, through Amazon was significantly less than Best Buy. These are a wonderful addition to any home system, stereo or surround sound.

incredible sound Apr 21, 2008
For the size of these bookshelf speakers, the sound is amazing. I was going to put them in my triple garage as we spend a lot of time partying out there. I have changed my mind as my Yamaha surround sound speakers aren't as good (inside the house). I will likely get other klipsch speakers to round it out inside.
Good sound for the money as well!

When you consider what these speakers are engineered to be / do. Factor in their overall size, and the size of the components they are built from. add the quality, and durability you will be impressed. But what what matters most is how they sound and perform. After you hear these speakers you will be amazed!
There are prettier speakers to be sure, but if you are serious about sound and you must be if you are looking at these, this is as good as it gets in their "class" , size, and price range. A great bookshelf speaker!

Washington, D.C. (October 31, 2008) -- When it comes to price, Consumer Reports says shoppers are most likely to find the best deals online. And the publication called three ecommerce sites "standouts" in this year's Consumer Reports ratings of electronics stores: Amazon.com, Crutchfield.com and B&H (bhphotovideo.com)
The magazine's survey was based on more than 38,000 purchases of electronics, including flat-screen TVs, between January 2007 and June 2008. The report indicated that online stores consistently offered better prices. (The magazine's full report can be found in its December 2008 issue.)
"Buying online can be better," the magazine said in a press release. "The higher-rated electronics retailers in Consumer Reports annual reader survey are Web sites. Readers who bought online rated their overall satisfaction at 90 out of 100 -- higher than those who bought in a store. Additionally, many Web merchants offer free shipping, even on TVs, which could spare the hassle of struggling to fit a bulky carton in the car or paying a local store for delivery."
Consumer Reports said that while no single retailer scored excellent in all shopping categories, Amazon.com and Crutchfield.com came closest.
