Best affordable speakers Dec 20, 2008
These speakers are great for home theater and music. The more I listen to them, the more I see what I was missing with the Bose 601 series IV speakers I was listening to. I still use the Bose center speaker and the 161 surround speakers though. With a Polk 10 inch Sub. Clear highs with tight punching bass. And mid range that isn't muffled. Quality made speakers, solid. When buying great speakers except no substitutes. JBL. They did come to me in the origial boxes that were in rough shape with the seals broken. But everything was there and not broke.Rub marks rubbed out with polish. They need to double box them before shipping. Shipping was fast.

Incredible Nov 27, 2008
These are beautiful speakers offering crisp full range sound. I use them in a home theater situation and they deliver incredible sound with my dvds and HDTV soundtracks in 5.1 & 7.1,they also delivery great sound on my DVD-A & SACD surround music discs. If your system requires high end speakers to get the sound correct,these beauties do it perfectly. They are NOT cheap but worth every dime they cost.

Sweet Music! Nov 11, 2008
I started my home theater with the Onkyo 606 and 2 JBL 820 CH's and a Polk PSW 125 sub, then got two more 820's and a Polk CS2 center and it sounded great, till I finished it all off with the 880 CH's. WOW, these completed the package more than I would have ever believed!

Consumer Reports Says Buy Your HDTV at Amazon!
Washington, D.C. (October 31, 2008) -- When it comes to price, Consumer Reports says shoppers are most likely to find the best deals online. And the publication called three ecommerce sites "standouts" in this year's Consumer Reports ratings of electronics stores: Amazon.com, Crutchfield.com and B&H (bhphotovideo.com)
The magazine's survey was based on more than 38,000 purchases of electronics, including flat-screen TVs, between January 2007 and June 2008. The report indicated that online stores consistently offered better prices. (The magazine's full report can be found in its December 2008 issue.)
"Buying online can be better," the magazine said in a press release. "The higher-rated electronics retailers in Consumer Reports annual reader survey are Web sites. Readers who bought online rated their overall satisfaction at 90 out of 100 -- higher than those who bought in a store. Additionally, many Web merchants offer free shipping, even on TVs, which could spare the hassle of struggling to fit a bulky carton in the car or paying a local store for delivery."
Consumer Reports said that while no single retailer scored excellent in all shopping categories, Amazon.com and Crutchfield.com came closest.
